Dear Sir / Madam
We refer to our Circular dated 29th August 2013, wherein members were informed about postponement of elections by three months. We wish to inform that Council received a communication from Department of Commerce making several changes in the composition of Committee of Administration, criteria to contest in the elections etc. While Council is taking necessary actions for completion of statutory requirements and issue Notification for conducting elections, we invite members to take the opportunity of simplified procedure as per new directive and enroll themselves as "Ordinary Members" and become eligible to vote / contest in the elections.
The eligibility criteria to become "Ordinary Member" of the Council is that members:
(a) Should have completed three years membership with the Council
(b) Should have paid the renewal fee for the year 2013-14
(c) Should have minimum three year average export turnover of Rs.10 lakhs in case of SSI units and Rs.25 lakhs in case of other members
It may be noted that Elections will be held in the last week of December 2013 and Notification for the same will be issued soon. Since Elections will be held through Electronic Voting System, we request all the members to send e-mail ids of authorized persons to whom electronic voting link will be sent for exercising voting.
Members can now register by simply sending self certified Export Turnovers for the last three years and also email ids of authorized persons in the format attached herewith. Auditor certified copies / balance sheet copies are not required. However, it may be noted that members shall be held liable for any wrong declarations, if found at any later date, and action will be taken as per council's rules. The certificate may be sent by mail to info@pharmexcil.com or fax to 040-23735464 on or before 10th December 2013.
A list of members who have already enrolled as Ordinary Members is enclosed herewith for information of members.
