Subject: Notice from CDSCO: Relaxation on the requirement of “No Objection Certificate” for export consignments to USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and EU.

Members may be kindly aware, we have received representations from some of our member companies for relaxation of requirements for NOC and Pharmexcil has represented the issue to CDSCO and DoC on waiving of requirement for "No Objection Certificate" for exports meant to developed countries.

Pursuant to special efforts of Shri Sudhanshu Pandey, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, with a view to ease the drug regulatory clearances, CDSCO has kindly considered waiving the requirement of NOC with effect from 1^st Jan.2016 for export of drugs, medical devices and cosmetics meant for developed countries. These countries include USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and European Union.

The office of CDSCO wide No.DCGI/MISC/2015(199) dt:11.Dec.2015 has issued a notice. In this regard, a copy of the Notice is also linked for your kind information.

Members are requested to kindly take note of this important development.
