Dear Sir/Madam,
Sub: Joint programme with WHO, UNICEF and UNFPA for Manufacturers and Suppliers of Diagnostic Products, Vaccines, Finished Pharmaceutical Products and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, organized during 22-25 September 2014 at Copenhagen, Denmark.
We would like to inform all members that Pharmexcil has received a request from UNFPA for informing all our members about their proposed programme on Pharma procurement procedures followed by various UN agencies and funded NGOs. A joint programme with WHO, UNICEF and UNFPA is being held for Manufacturers and Suppliers of Diagnostic Products, Vaccines, Finished Pharmaceutical Products and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is being organised during 22-25 September 2014 at Copenhagen, Denmark.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide guidance, focusing on quality, that will assist in the process of becoming a supplier of medicines and diagnostics to UNICEF, UNFPA and other International Procurement Organizations.
The meeting would provide unique opportunity for manufacturers to learn more about the quality requirements used in public procurement and the general procedures applied. Special focus is being given for market demand, regulatory issues and supply of quality medicines and diagnostics for areas with special interest in products like vaccines, HIV/AIDS, TB malaria and reproductive and maternal health.
The meeting would be an excellent platform to interact with international procurers, quality of medicines experts and international donors in the field of RH and other areas of public health.
A copy of the Programme is attached for your information and ready reference.
Members interested in joining the programme are requested to send an email to Ms. Eva Mata: emata@unfpa.org with a copy to Pharmexcil by end of August 2014. If you have any questions regarding the meeting, please address them to Ms Seloi Mogatle: mogatle@unfpa.org or Ms. Isabel Lucas Manzano: manzano@unfpa.org for confirming your participation. We advise our members to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
