JOINT VENTURE PROPOSED WITH LEADING PHARMA

MANUFACTURER/IMPORTER, M/S.LAFEDAR S.A IN ARGENTINA

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are glad to inform our members that Council has received a communication from our Embassy at Argentina stating that M/s. LAFEDAR S.A., one of the major producer/importer of Pharma products based in Argentina has proposed their interest for having a Joint Venture with Indian Pharma company.

M/s. LAFEDAR S.A is interested to set up on its own or as a joint venture with a suitable Indian partner (with or without involving supply of machinery ,equipment, technology transfer, know-how and training etc.) of MONOCLONAL products such as RITUXIMAB, TRASTUZUMAB, ADALIMUNAB, ETANERCEPT, INFLIXIMAB etc. They also have similar interest for Oncological products.

It is stated that LAFEDAR S.A., Argentina is one of the major producer, supplier and also importer of pharmaceutical products; a main supplier to the Argentine National Health system under UNDP, FEAP and provincial health tender plans. It also exports and trades in drugs and medicine into 24 countries in Latin America and Africa.

We understand M/s. LAFEDAR is also well-connected and knows Indian market through import of raw materials and has its production facilities laboratories etc. Mr. Ricardo C. Guimarey, President of M/s. LAFEDAR is ready to visit India at a short notice to commence talks with interested Indian firms.
