You are kindly aware that Pharmexcil has been exploring export opportunities for its members in Myanmar. Over the year, the market has shown considerable potential for India's pharmaceutical products. Members would appreciate the fact that in recent times Department of Commerce has initiated number of programmes to promote Brand India Pharma Campaign. Pharmexcil has been carrying out this campaign in existing as well as in markets showing high potential.

Pharmexcil is pleased to announce that an Expo-cum BSM will be organized in Yangon, Myanmar during 19-21st February 2015. The event is organized under funding MAI scheme of Ministry of Commerce.

 

In view of the importance of market, besides large number of participation expected from our exporter members, a very high level delegation comprising of top officials from Ministry of Commerce, DCGI and Department of Pharmaceuticals would be participating and take up the relevant issues with their Government counterparts.

 

Pharmexcil will be creating a huge opportunity to interact with local buyers/distributers and large number of doctors from various parts of Myanmar for creating awareness about India generics. Further, Ministry of Commerce has directed Council to include related segments like Pharma Consultants, Pharma education, Pharma engineering, medical devices, drug testing labs, pharma institutions etc. in order to give the effort a composite outlook and create opportunities strategically. Members are kindly requested to participate in large numbers.

 

The proposed event has following objectives:

# Create awareness about Indian pharma and healthcare sector

# Positioning Brand India Pharma as Responsible healthcare

The broad outline of the activities planned are:

# Opportunity for showcasing products in stalls (limited to 25 stalls)

# Interaction with Local government authorities related to pharma and healthcare sector

# Seminar/workshop spread over three days

# Networking Dinner

Members participating as business delegate and exhibitors would get excellent opportunity to:

# Meet Key Government and regulatory authorities

# Interact with Myanmar India Business Chamber (MIBC) for the hands on information on Myanmar market and how to do business.

Note

Delegates and Exhibitor will be eligible for BSM in a session. The allocation of session will be done on the basis of match making. Exhibitors and delegates will have opportunity to participate in all the related events.

This is project is under MAI so it is highly subsidized. Participating members will have to bear their own travel and hotel accommodation. Pharmexcil will provide the details of hotel for stay. We are taking help of Embassy to get preferred rate of Hotel for stay. Further Pharmexcil will assist members to get the VISA.

 

With support from Embassy and MIBC, the local Chamber, Pharmexcil will be mobilizing participation of all stakeholders for the Show and Seminars. The show will be marketed through focused media campaign in Myanmar.

Your participation will be a huge support in our common endeavor and also your way of seizing the opportunity being made available by Government's initiative to boost your export prospects.
