WAREHOUSING FACILITY AT NIGERIA

Members may please refer to our Circular dated 13.11.2015, wherein we have informed about Common Warehousing facility in Nigeria.
Modified (simplified) Proposal:
We wish to inform that some of the members expressed that taking some minimum space, irrespective of their usage, will be a burden for SMEs. As per suggestions received from members, we took up with the agency and asked them to extend the same rates and services to our members as and when they approach without any obligation of taking minimum / committed space. We are glad to inform that the Bollore Africa accepted our proposal to providethe facility whenever required only. They have also indicated that companies can keep stock their stocks in their own name without payment of duties in the bonded warehouse so that they can sell the stocks to their buyers as and when required only. They are ready to obtain / help in obtaining necessary permissions from Nigerian Government to the extent possible.
The above proposition would be very useful to our members. We, therefore, request members to once again go through the offer and provide us your requirements in the form attached to the circular.(click here).
Financial Assistance from Government:
Based on feedback / requirement from the members to this circular, we will take up with Government for financial assistance under MAI scheme.
Implementation date:
Council is organizing IPHEX Africa during 18-20th February 2016 at Nigeria It is proposed to launch Warehousing facility in Nigeria during IPHEX Africa.
