Subject: Suggestions invited to enhance our market share in Europe
We would like to inform that Government, with a view to maximize exports has identified Europe as an important market. To achieve a better market share, it is felt that Export Commodities with high potential should grow faster than the Europe market in the next four years ending 2019-20.
Government may also consider assistance to help achieve higher growth of exports.
Pharmaceuticals has been identified among "Export Commodities with High potential" and expects it to grow at a high CAGR in USD terms during the next four years.
Government has asked Pharmexcil to prepare a forecast of possible Compounded annual growth rate (Cagr) during the next Four years (considering 2015-16 as base year with a growth of 4.5%) of India's pharmaceutical exports to Europe.
We request your company, being one of the important exporters to Europe, to provide us with inputs for our preparation in terms of possible CAGR for the next four years with a break up of API/Bulk drugs and formulations separately, wherever possible.
We also request you to help us identify possible products in each of the category (API/ Bulk Drugs, formulations, Ayush & herbals) which has high potential in achieving faster growth taking into consideration the market dynamics like Patent expiries, and possible expansion of generic sector of Europe.
