||India and China have shared a long history of economic and trade relations and both the countries have grown together in the last few decades emerging as alternative super powers in the global economic scenario.
China ranks 17th in terms of FDI between April 2000 and September 2015 and the total FDI inflows between China to India are $1.24 billion between the same periods.
There is a huge opportunity available for China to participate in India’s growth story and for China to become India’s largest trading partner. There is an enormous potential ahead for exploring the mutual partnership between both the countries.
In the above context, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region, is organizing a one day seminar on “India-China Growth Story” – Harnessing the emerging business potential on 24 June 2016 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Chennai , with the objective of deliberating on the critical growth strategies of both the nations in the last few decades and the lessons to be learnt from both the growth models.
The session will also focus on the business opportunities for the Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from the manufacturing and services sector and for the Chinese SMEs to explore investment opportunities in South India. This will be a platform for seeking business to business opportunities for mutual benefits of both the countries' industries.
The session will have distinguished and eminent participants including diplomats, bureaucrats, industrialists from India and China, academicians and research scholars, foreign policy experts, exporters and importers and other decision makers and stakeholders. The event is expected to witness a participation of more than 250 delegates from the above mentioned categories.
The list of speakers whom we have invited include senior diplomats, bureaucrats, industry captains from India and Chinese Companies in India and research scholars.
